Stride by Stride

Improving mental wellbeing one stride at a time with a monthly meet-up in Truro to run, jog or walk at your pace, enjoying an active 40-minutes outdoors together.

How it works

Whether you prefer a leisurely walk, a brisk jog, or an energising run, this meet-up is for you. We all set off together with a leader up front and another leader at the back, creating a welcoming and inclusive session for everyone in the middle. With a focus on mental wellbeing, you can mindfully taking in the surroundings, have a chat with others as you move or a bit of both!

You can find us at bus stop just outside of Food Warehouse. See the image below for the exact location. Here's a link to a Google Map and the what3words location is ///comical.oddly.hints. Why we started Stride by Stride

We have experienced the mental wellbeing benefits of walking, jogging and running together - chatting away about life and breathing in the fresh Cornish air as we go. Not bothered about pace or distance, we wondered if we could enable others to experience similar benefits in an easy-to-access, no-pressure, non-judgemental monthly group session.

How active is ‘active’?

You can go at your own speed, whether that's a leisurely stroll, a moderate jog, or a speedy run. The idea is simply to be active outside with others, and "active" can mean whatever you want it to mean. It's all about enjoying the opportunity for mental wellbeing and connecting with like-minded individuals.

There's no judgement here

We all start and end at the same place. It’s about experiencing the joy of being in nature, the camaraderie of a supportive group, and the mental health benefits of outdoor exercise.
